General Information Notice
All information, calculators, converters, utilities, and documentation provided on ShortTrick are offered strictly for general information and everyday convenience.
They are provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied. No fiduciary, advisory, agency, attorney-client, accountant-client, or healthcare-provider relationship is established through your use of this site or its tools.
Financial, Loan & Tax Calculators
ShortTrick provides a wide array of financial calculators—including EMI, loan amortization, compound interest, SIP returns, GST, TDS, salary breakdown, and capital gains tools.
These tools apply standard published mathematical and statutory arithmetic to the parameters you provide:
- Assumptions, Not Forecasts: Any expected rate of return, inflation rate, or yield you enter is purely a speculative hypothetical assumption. Past market performance is no guarantee of future financial returns.
- Statutory Rates Change: Tax slabs, GST rate schedules, TDS thresholds, and deduction exemptions change frequently across jurisdictions. Figures calculated here may not reflect recent legislative revisions.
- Lender Rules Differ: Your financial institution, bank, or tax authority’s official calculation is the sole legally binding figure. Day-count conventions, loan processing fees, compounding frequency, and rounding rules can alter final payment schedules.
Health, BMI & Calorie Estimates
Our health utilities—including Body Mass Index (BMI), Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), body fat calculators, and daily calorie estimators—apply generalized statistical formulas (such as the Mifflin-St Jeor or Harris-Benedict equations).
These equations describe statistical trends across large populations, not individual physiology. They cannot account for your personal muscle-to-fat ratio, bone density, medical conditions, thyroid health, or medications. They do not constitute a medical diagnosis or treatment plan. Always consult a qualified medical doctor or registered dietitian regarding personal health and dietary decisions.
File Conversions & Media Compression
Digital file transformation and compression are frequently lossy processes. Re-encoding an image (e.g. converting to JPG or WebP), compressing a PDF, or transcoding audio/video permanently discards certain high-frequency data and metadata.
Depending on file complexity, a converted file may lose vector paths, embedded colour profiles, proprietary font definitions, interactive form fields, or revision history.
SEO & Website Diagnostic Tools
Our SEO Analyzer and PageSpeed Auditor report automated diagnostic metrics observed in a target page’s HTML markup and network waterfall.
These tools report diagnostic observations; they do not control search engine rankings, indexing decisions, or algorithmic placement. Google, Bing, and other search engines employ hundreds of private, evolving ranking factors that no external diagnostic tool can guarantee.
Deliberate Technical Refusals
Several tools on ShortTrick explicitly decline to process a file if doing so would require arbitrary guesswork, proprietary layout engines, or severe quality degradation.
This is an intentional design choice. Presenting a transparent error message explaining why a conversion cannot be performed safely is vastly superior to returning corrupted, unreadable, or silently truncated output.
