Extract PDF Pages keeps only the pages you name — a list such as 1-3, 7 — and hands them back as a new PDF.
The chosen pages are copied into an empty document together with the fonts, images and annotations they refer to, and a new cross-reference table is written around them. The list is sorted and de-duplicated before anything is copied, so 7, 1, 1 comes back as page 1 followed by page 7 — this tool decides which pages survive, not what order they end up in. It also refuses to run on an empty selection instead of quietly returning the whole document.
