Meme Generator

Meme Generator puts a top caption, a bottom caption, or both onto a picture you upload, in the white-with-black-outline style the format is known for.

Each caption is stroked first and then filled, so the outline sits behind the letters rather than eating into them and the text stays readable over any background. Type size is a percentage of the image height — nine per cent by default — so a caption looks the same relative size on a small screenshot and a large photo, and long lines wrap automatically to 94 per cent of the width. Impact is requested and used when your system has it, with a condensed bold face substituted when it does not, so output can differ slightly between machines. There is no template library and no stickers: you bring the image, this adds the captions.

The captions are drawn onto a canvas in your browser and the picture is not uploaded.
