How to Use Audio Trimmer Online: Step-by-Step Guide
Keep one span of a voice memo, lecture or podcast track by typing its start and end time
About Audio Trimmer — Free Online Tool
Audio Trimmer keeps a single span of a recording and discards everything outside it — a straight top and tail, with no option to cut a hole in the middle.
Nothing on this page listens for silence. You give it a start time and either an end time or a length, and ffmpeg seeks to that point and writes that many seconds out; it is the same engine that drives the Audio Cutter, with the remove-a-section mode switched off, so a trim can only ever shorten a file from the outside in. The seek is applied to the input before the file is opened, which is why starting ninety minutes into a lecture recording costs no more time than starting at the beginning.
Trimming is done locally in WebAssembly, so an interview or a dictated note never travels. The input is held in a virtual filesystem inside the page and discarded whether the run succeeded or failed.
Dropping the first minute of room noise from a lecture recording, keeping the usable take out of a long rehearsal, shortening a voice note to the part worth sending, and cutting a recording down before someone types it up.

When to use it
Get a podcast episode or a voice audition starting at the first useful word, once you know where that word is.
How it works
You give it a start and end timestamp, or a start and a duration, and it cuts there. There is no automatic silence detection.
Finding The Right Timestamps
Nothing on the page measures loudness, so the two times come from you — play the file in any player, note where the speech starts and stops, and type those figures in. Both accept either seconds or m:ss.
