How to Use Binary Converter Online: Step-by-Step Guide
Convert a binary number of 0s and 1s into its decimal, octal and hexadecimal value
About Binary Converter — Free Online Converter
Binary Converter reads a binary number and reports its value in decimal, octal and hexadecimal, with whichever of those bases you select shown as the headline figure.
The input is treated as one number, not as encoded text. A leading 0b is stripped and everything after it must be 0s and 1s only — a string with spaces between the bytes is refused with an error naming the permitted digits rather than being split into octets. The value is parsed to an integer and reprinted in bases 2, 8, 10 and 16, so all four appear together on every run. Two limits follow from working in integers: a fractional part is not converted, and anything above the exact-integer ceiling of 9,007,199,254,740,991 is rejected instead of being handed back with its low digits silently wrong. This page does not translate binary into ASCII letters — 01000001 comes back as 65, not as the letter A.
The value is parsed by the browser and never sent out. There is no upload, no API call, and no stored record of what you converted.
Checking a binary literal from a datasheet against its decimal value, reading a register or bitmask dump, verifying a hand-worked base conversion for coursework, and getting the hexadecimal form of a binary flag.

When to use it
Put a number against a bitmask or a binary literal from a datasheet, and read the same quantity in hex for a register map.
How it works
Strips an optional 0b prefix, checks that nothing but 0 and 1 is left, parses the whole string as a single integer, and reprints that integer in bases 2, 8, 10 and 16.
A Quantity, Not A Character
Give it 01000001 and the answer is 65, with 101 in octal and 41 in hex. Reading 65 back as the letter it encodes is a separate step, and this page does not take it.
