Weight Converter

Weight Converter converts a mass across fourteen units — kilograms, grams, milligrams, micrograms, tonnes, pounds, ounces, stones, both the US and the UK ton, carats, grains, troy ounces and the Indian tola.

Kilograms are the pivot: the figure is scaled into kilograms and back out again using the defined values of 0.45359237 kg to the pound and 0.028349523125 kg to the ounce, so a pound-to-kilogram answer agrees with a standards table digit for digit. Two pairs that catch people out are kept as separate dropdown entries rather than merged — the short ton of 907.18474 kg against the long ton of 1016.0469088 kg, and the ordinary avoirdupois ounce against the heavier troy ounce used for gold and silver. The answer is then trimmed to twelve significant figures, which clears binary floating-point debris without claiming precision the input never had.

Nothing is uploaded, because there is nothing to upload: the whole factor table ships inside the page and a conversion is one multiplication and one division. A consignment weight or a body weight entered here is not transmitted, not logged, and never placed in the address bar.
